I'm a Snake, ssSSssSSs.

This video kills me.

Anyways, haha. Yes. a snake skin tutorial. For some reason i've had a lot of people freak out and think this is the coolest idea on the planet, and that it looks so intricate, but in reality, it's quite simple.
What you'll need:
  1. Basic face makeup (i.e Foundation, Powder, Mascara, Blush) (if the face is where you're putting it)
  2. Some sort of cream eye shadow, or base (preferably in white, or iridescent colors. you can use any base color but the eye shadow shows up better on light bases compared to dark bases)
  3. Eye shadows! i used blues, greens, browns, grays of the ones on my hand, and blues, purples, pinks, and greens in the ones on my face, just to try different colors.
  4. And FISHNETSSS :)
This makeup, seriously, is so easy once you know how.

First, If you're planning on putting the design on your face, you should conceal, apply foundation, and powder your face. Also, figure out where you want to put the design. Mine went above, on top of my eyebrow and down my cheek. I did the opposite cheek bone as well, but it doesn't look the greatest. You should also do your eyeshadow to match the colors, or tie some of them in. Possibly blend a couple of the colors together.

If you're planning on putting it somewhere else, for a costume or something you just start on step two :)

Second, You're going to put the cream base or cream shadow on the place where the print is going (make sure its sticky). You can use your finger, or you can use a sponge. I used a sponge, but because thats what i prefer. Here are two examples on on a white background and another on a red, black and iridescent green background. I wanted to see what looked best with different colors.

Third, you're going to put the fishnet on the spot you put the base on. now, if you're going to put it on your face, putting fishnet over your head and on top of your eye is a little awkward, but it wont be there long. Just make sure you can see for one, and for two, MAKE SURE ITS TIGHT. Meaning it cant slide around. If it slides around then the lines wont be clear. When putting it somewhere else it may be easier cause its not over your eye, but again make it tight.

Fourth, you're going to take the eyeshadows you chose. You can put them on with a sponge, the eye shadow applicators that come with them, a cotton ball, or a brush (one that isn't as important). I believe i used the eyeshadow applicator because it was the strongest thing, and held the most product. Make sure you dab and don't brush because you would move the fishnet and you would make a mess with the shadows. use many colors dark and light to get depth, it pops better that way.

Fifth, if you are putting it on your face, add blush where there isn't any design, lipstick to tie in you one the more random colors, mascara and lashes.

I feel like this style would work best for some sort of costume party, or even some sort of fashion show, because its edgy, but you can made it girly with the colors, glitter and even jewels if you wanted. Just have fun!
